The Nutrition Policy Institute (NPI) conducts and translates policy-relevant research to transform environments for healthy children, families, and communities. NPI’s research ranges from the importance of school lunches and reducing soda consumption in schools to providing clean water, reducing food waste, and addressing food insecurity. Through this work, NPI envisions a world in which healthy food, beverages and opportunities for physical activity are accessible, affordable, equitable and sustainable for everyone. The NPI Student Fellowship offers mentorship from NPI researchers to college students who are committed to advancing our mission, with a focus on first-generation students, those with lived experience of food insecurity, and students underrepresented in research and dietetics.
